Overview

City Data and MSA Data: The Taubman Center for State and Local Government has created a web-based collection of data from the US Census and other public agencies in a format that allows for ready merging of compatible data for analysis about issues related to state and local government. Data is available by state, metropolitan statistical area (MSA), county, or municipality.

Greater Boston Data: The Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston database includes links and descriptions of websites that focus on data pertaining to the Greater Boston area.

Both datasets have been compiled from various sources by the Taubman Center for State and Local Government and the Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and are hosted at the Harvard-MIT Data Center.
